The Power of Habit in Wellness Transformation


Everything we do is habitual. Even when you “accidentally” eat half a bag of chips while deciding what to make for dinner (no judgment, been there done that!!).


I've seen a lot of women's wellness journeys that start with the best intentions, only to get tripped up by those sneaky, subconscious habits. Our brains are basically on autopilot. They love the easy route. If there’s a choice between a green smoothie and a donut, your brain is probably thinking, “Donut. You deserve it. It’s Friday. Or Monday. Or… whatever day ends in ‘y.’”



BUT habits aren’t just about willpower. They’re about what we’ve trained ourselves to do, over and over. And yes, it’s easier said than done to swap out old routines for new ones. If it were easy, I’d have a six pack and a fridge full of kale (spoiler: I barely have either, but I do have a killer recipe for gut health smoothies).


Building New Routines


When I work with women through my transformation packages, I emphasize the power of habit. It’s not about perfection or getting it right every day; it’s about being consistent. Want better gut health? Start with one small change, like adding a probiotic rich food to your breakfast. Want more energy? Try a five minute morning stretch (bonus points if you do it in your pj's).

And if you slip up, it's all good!! Habits are hard to break, but they’re not impossible. Remember, every time you make a choice that supports your wellness, you’re rewiring your brain. You're stepping into the reality of your highest self.


The Importance of Mindfulness


Mindfulness plays a hige role in this transformation. It’s about being present and aware of your choices. When you’re mindful, you can catch those sneaky habits before they take over. Ask yourself: “Is this habit helping me feel my best?” If not, let’s work together to build new ones—ones that make you feel strong, happy, and truly yourself (whoever that may be).


Small Steps Lead to Big Changes


Let’s break it down further. Change doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Start small. Maybe it’s swapping out that afternoon candy bar for a piece of fruit. Or perhaps it’s taking a moment to breathe deeply before reaching for that bag of chips. These tiny improvements can lead to significant transformations over time.

Don’t forget to celebrate your wins, no matter how small. Did you choose a salad over fries? High five! Did you drink an extra glass of water today? You rock! These little victories build momentum and keep you motivated.
